THE DEVELOPMENT OF POLISH PRODUCTION OF TECHNICAL GASES AND CRYOGENIC LIQUIDS IS PRESENTED, COMMENCING FROM THE FIRST OXYGEN PLANT IN WARSAW, ESTABLISHED BY A FRENCH COMPANY IN 1910, THROUGH THE PERIOD BETWEEN THE WARS, WORLD WAR II, AND THE YEARS 1945-1985. SOME INFORMATION IS GIVEN ON INDIVIDUALS WHOSE ACHIEVEMENTS HAVE ADVANCED THIS INDUSTRY ENORMOUSLY.
