Type of article: Article
Summary
There is now available a large range of sensing and control devices, with the possibility of a high level of integration of all aspects of building services control. Typical strategies are to maintain standby conditions at all times, in order to give quick response to sudden demands at any location, and avoid peak loads. Savings can be made in fan power by moving air only where and when required, and by moving warm or cool air within the building. The controls data base may be displayed for consultation and advice.
