Proper choice of air filters for general applications.
Choisir convenablement les filtres à air dans les applications générales.
Author(s) : RAULT J. Y.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Having briefly reviewed the principle of air filtration, the author defines the potential locations in the air handling system by showing the advantages and disadvantages of each of the solutions. Based on figures he shows that the cost of an adapted, correctly maintained filtration system is lower than that of an inadequate system leading to many duct cleaning operations. Short term filtration will be expensive to run, except if the future is considered as only transient.
