PROPERTIES OF LITHIUM BROMIDE-WATER SOLUTIONS AT HIGH TEMPERATURES AND CONCENTRATIONS. 1. THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY.

Author(s) : DIGUILIO R. M.

Summary

THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE SOLUTIONS WAS MEASURED FROM 293 TO 463 K (20 TO 190 DEG C) USING A MODIFIED HOT WIRE TECHNIQUE. SOLUTIONS CONTAINING 30.2, 44.3, 49.1, 56.3, 60.0, 62.9 AND 64.9 WT% LITHIUM BROMIDE WERE STUDIED. THE DATA WERE CORRELATED AS A FUNCTION OF TEMPERATURE AND WEIGHT PERCENT LITHIUM BROMIDE WITH AN AVERAGE DEVIATION OF 0.6%. THE ACCURACY OF THE MEASUREMENTS WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 2%.
