Summary
With this project an analysis of the capillary tube of a household refrigerator is carried out, using for it the numerical simulation tools ANSYS CFX, in order to establish changes in its dimensional characteristics that propitiate an increase in energy efficiency. The analysis method is established with greater approximation, veracity and consistency of results based on similar simulations and modifications of the capillary tube are proposed limiting them to changes in their diameter and length. The direct or indirect influence of each of the modifications on the COP of the refrigerator is determined. This establishes feasible modifications to execute and implement in current systems that improve the overall efficiency of the refrigerator.
