Summary
Current developments in reefer shipping with reefer vessels and containers are described. Controlled-atmosphere and modified-atmosphere systems are being introduced in reefer transport. More than ten systems are known in the expanding controlled-atmosphere reefer-container market. The same development can be observed in controlled-atmosphere reefer vessels; the first systems are in the test phase.
