Summary
The storage performance of "Starking Delicious" and "Golden Delicious" apples was evaluated during their storage for up to 240 days at 0 deg C, in a pilot plant scale. The results suggested that apples have the longest storage life at 0 deg C when the atmosphere contains (2.5% O2 + 2.5% CO2) for "Starking Delicious" apples and (3.0% O2 + 2.5% CO2) for "Golden Delicious".
