THE EFFECTIVE ACTION FOR SUPERCONDUCTING JUNCTIONS WITH DIRECT CONDUCTIVITY IS EXPRESSED IN TERMS OF THE GREEN FUNCTIONS OF THE JUNCTIONS AND CALCULATED IN THE ADIABATIC APPROXIMATION. THE RATE OF QUANTUM DECAY OF METASTABLE CURRENT STATES IN SUPERCONDUCTING WEAK BONDS WITH DIRECT CONDUCTIVITY, WHICH MAY DIFFER APPRECIABLY FROM THE ANALOGOUS QUANTITY FOR TUNNEL JUNCTIONS, IS CALCULATED WITH EXPONENTIAL ACCURACY.
