Summary

Preventing draughts requires a limit of 100 watts/m2 when using mixed flow or cooled ceilings. Source (displacement) flow with air supplied across the entire floor has no such limitation. There is also no limitation for (real or unidirectional) displacement flow from the ceiling or from the floor, as long as the flow pattern is stable. An additional relative cooling capacity of the cooled ceiling up to 100 watts/m2 is possible, though usually not necessary. Source flow from the side walls is limited to 600 watts/m2, depending on the lenght of the outlet. For higher capacities cooled ceilings can be of use.
