RECIPROCATING AND SCREW COMPRESSOR OIL COOLING WITHOUT HEAT EXCHANGERS, USING THE DIRECT INJECTION OF LIQUID REFRIGERANT.

L'HUILE DES COMPRESSEURS A PISTONS OU VIS PEUT ETRE REFROIDIE AUTREMENT QUE PAR UN ECHANGEUR : SYSTEME PAR INJECTION DE FLUIDE FRIGORIGENE.

Author(s) : GALIAN F.

Summary

A NEW SYSTEM WHICH HAS BEEN USED FOR MORE THAN A YEAR, COOLS DOWN THE OIL OF OPEN REFRIGERATION COMPRESSORS BY INJECTION OF LIQUID REFRIGERANT. INJECTION TAKES PLACE IN THE SUCTION VOLUME OF THE COMPRESSOR. A CALIBRATED ORIFICE INSTALLED IN THE OIL RETURN LINE TO THE CRANKCASE METERS THE LIQUID REFRIGERANT FLOW WHICH IS VAPORIZED BY THE CONTACT WITH HOT OIL. THE FLASH GASES ARE TAKEN BACK TO THE COMPRESSOR SUCTION BY MEANS OF A PROPERLY INSTALLED PIPE USING A LOCAL DEPRESSION.
