RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS.
COMPRESSEURS A PISTONS : LA MAJORITE SILENCIEUSE.
Author(s) : REYMOND R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE RANGE OF RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS IS VERY WIDE: FROM SMALL 50 M3/HR HERMETIC UNIT TO OPEN-TYPE UNITS WITH MORETHAN 1,000 M3/HR. THE ADVANTAGES OF THE RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR ARE NUMEROUS: SIMPLE TO MANUFACTURE, FLEXIBLE APPLICATION AND ADJUSTMENT, GOOD PERFORMANCE AT PART-LOAD, POSSIBLE HIGH DISCHARGE TEMPERATURES (HEAT RECOVERY), SIMPLE OIL CIRCUIT, EASY MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING, LOW OPERATING COSTS. TWO EXTREME EXAMPLES OF APPLICATION ARE GIVN THE FUTURE TRENDS IN DEVELOPMENTS AND RESEARCH ON RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS ARE GIVEN. J.L.
