Summary

Since january 1, 1995, the use of ground water for cooling devices is charged. In 1992 already TNO was asked to perform a general study to investigate the possibility of applying heat pumps as an alternative for cooling with ground water. The objective of the study is to investigate the possibilities of implementing heat pumps in existing processes, estimating the economic attractivity and calculating the savings on water and energy.
