Type of article: Article
Summary
The factors to consider in planning a cogeneration project are analysed for the case when absorption cooling is used. One- and two-stage liquid coolers and other system features, like heat sources, are considered (hot water, steam or recovery of hot gases and cogeneration-plant temperature features). Finally, the capacity and size of coolers, and the electric consumption of recovery towers and condenser water pumps are analysed with the intention of obtaining an energy-efficient design.
