Summary
After a few considerations on cogeneration and a brief introduction on the principles of the absorption process, the article describes two low-power absorption refrigerating machines which are fed with hot water and use a solution of water and lithium bromide as a working fluid. The two machines, which have only recently been put on the market, have been designed to use heat at low temperatures. Typical applications are in industrial processes and in low and medium-power cogeneration systems.
