In recent years, the trend has been to control each refrigerating unit and collect all the data in a central computerized control system. The author describes such a system installed in a supermarket in Verona, Italy. The refrigerating plant includes 100 refrigerated display cases, several refrigerated cells and 5 refrigerating plants.
