Refrigeration, dense air compression-expansion systems, flexibility by a reversible booster : research of possibilities.

Production du froid, système compression-détente d'air dense, assouplissement par "survolteur-dévolteur" : recherche des possibilités.

Author(s) : ZAMARO L. T.

Summary

The author proposes technological research on the possibility of returning to expansion-compression systems, in spite of the lower COP when they were used in the past. His proposal is based on one change: to release speed regimes in both expansion valve and compressor so as to improve the COPs. He suggests that the present rigid mechanical connection which links together both machines with the engine should be replaced by using a reversible booster system to feed the electrically driven engine.
