REFRIGERATION OF ISOTHERMAL CONTAINERS.
REFRIGERATION DES CONTENEURS ISOTHERMES.
Author(s) : ESTOCQ M.
Type of article: Article, IJR article
Summary
THE ISOTHERMAL CONTAINER IS MORE RUSTIC THAN THE AUTONOMOUS CONTAINER. COOLING FOR THE FORMER IS SUPPLIED BY INSTALLATIONS WHICH CAN BE MORE SOPHISTICATED AND MAINTENANCE WILL THEREFORE DEPEND UPON JUST ONE TECHNICAL SERVICE. THE ARTICLE DESCRIBES VARIOUS TRANSPORT PROCESSES AND THE ADVANTAGES AND DRAWBACKS OF DIFFERENT SYSTEMS EMPLOYED: BRINE OR DIRECT EXPANSION, RATE OF AIR CIRCULATION, REFRIGERATING MACHINERY. THERMOMETRY, IF SENSITIVE, WILL ENABLE ONE TO DETECT THE INHERENT ANOMALIES IN THE CONDITION OF THE GOODS BEFORE LOADING ON-BOARD.
