THE RECOVERY OF INDUSTRIAL HEAT AND THE USE OF WASTE HEAT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HOT WATER IS COMMON PRACTICE. REFRIGERATION FROM WASTE HEAT IS ESPECIALLY ADVANTAGEOUS DUE TO ITS HIGH COST. PILOT HOLLABRUNN PROJECT SHOWS THAT ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION PLANT MAY BE COMPARED TO COMPRESSION PLANT BOTH TECHNICALLY AND ECONOMICALLY.
