Summary
TREATS THE TRANSFORMER, WHICH OPERATES ON SULPHURIC ACID AND WATER, BASED ON THE ABSORPTION (DESORPTION) PRINCIPLE. THE USABLE HEAT FLOW IS GENERATED BY THE EXOTHERMAL ABSORPTION PROCESS OF THE STEAM IN THE SULPHURIC ACID. THE CHEMICAL HEAT TRANSFORMER REQUIRES ONLY 2% OF THE USABLE HEAT TO POWER ITS OPERATION. OPERATING COSTS ARE THEREFORE REDUCED AND ARE ESPECIALLY ECONOMICAL FOR LARGER PLANT. THE SYSTEM RAISES APPROXIMATELY 50% OF THE WASTE HEAT TO A USABLE LEVEL. SHOWS THE PAYBACK PERIODS TO BE REASONABLE AT A HEAT OUTPUT ABOVE 1,500 KILOW. IN ADDITION, NOTES THEIR USE REDUCES ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
