Summary
In order to reduce distribution costs in the stationary temperature transportation industry, market demand for two-temperature refrigeration units capable of delivering goods having different preservation temperatures simultaneously is increasing. The majority of such two-temperature refrigeration units in the past has been utilizing methods of cooling by refrigerant and heating by cooling water of the vehicle engine to control the temperature inside the cooling compartment. In this paper, a refrigeration unit with a heating system by refrigerant without using hot water is presented. The maintenance cost of the hot water system is no longer relevant and the reliability of the refrigeration system was shown to be improved. Rapid control response and reduced fluctuation of temperature, both being optimal for delivery to convenience stores, were also realized.
