Refrigerator sound evaluation: general approach.
Author(s) : SILVEIRA M.
Summary
The sound power level of a refrigeration system is formed basically by sound sources, energy propagation paths and irradiation of several parts and components; these features of excitation, transmission, and radiation are important to refrigerator noise reduction. The paper consists in a study to identify the main noise sources of a specific refrigeration system using the six sigma methodology that make it possible to qualify which parameters are more important to noise generation and the interaction between the components of the refrigerator.
