Summary

The relationship between superconductivity and band structures of electrons and phonons is established on the basis of a generalized Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer model in which the interaction strengths among and between "electron" and "hole" Cooper pairs are differentiated. Elemental superconductors must have local hyperboloidal Fermi surfaces called "necks" or "inverted double caps".
