Summary

DISPERSION RELATIONS FOR ELECTRONS AND PHONONS IN A TWO-DIMENSIONAL LATTICE OF CUO2, ARE OBTAINED BY HARRISON'S BINDING ORBITAL METHOD. THE ELECTRON-PHONON INTERACTION CONSTANT IS ESTIMATED. CRITICAL TEMPERATURE AND ITS DEPENDENCE ON SPECIFIC VOLUME (PRESSURE) ARE CALCULATED. THE CALCULATED RESULTS ARE IN SATISFACTORY AGREEMENT WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA.
