Summary

The annual report of the Italian Institute for Frozen Food on frozen food consumption in Italy is summarized. There was an increase in both total and pro-capita consumption. Tabulated data show that the highest increases were in vegetables, potato products and snacks, and fish products; there was a small decrease in meat consumption. Pro-capita consumption and distribution of home consumption in different regions of Italy are tabulated, showing a general trend of increase in the individual regions. A.P.
