Summary

Regarding to high noise peak appeared between 400~500Hz during development of certain compressor, the modal frequency and modal shape of high peak appeared between 400~500Hz were identified via sound source locating vibration test, order analysis/modal test and simulation analysis with FEM software. It was found that the shaft-rotor unit swing was the main reason to cause noise peak value of the compressor. The simulation optimization analysis was carried out to shaft-rotor unit swing with the help of FEM software. The verifications were made to the structure, including enlarging shaft diameter, enlarging top flange unit, and increasing rigidity of shaft-rotor unit. The structural tests were made to prove the feasibility of improvements. The results could be used to improve noise problem of inverter compressors.
