Summary

The results of 20 years of scientific and organization activities at this Institute are presented. Fundamental studies of physico-chemical processes in biological systems at low temperatures, mechanisms of cryoinjury and cryoprotection are carried out at the Institute; new types of cryoprotectants and cryogenic equipment for research and medical purposes are created.
