Summary

THE AIM IS THE SEPARATION OF FERROUS AND NONFERROUS METAL ORES WITH WEAK MAGNETISM. THE MAIN CONSTITUENTS OF THE SYSTEM ARE THE SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET, CRYOGEN CONTAINER AND SEPARATING COMPONENT. COMPUTER SIMULATION SHOWED THAT THE SEPARATOR IS CAPABLE OF CONCENTRATING OR SEPARATING HEMATITE, LIMONITE AND MANGANESE ORESWITH A GRAIN SIZE OF SEVERAL CENTIMETERS AT A SEPARATING RATE OF ABOUT 20 TONS/HOUR.
