DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET FOR INDUSTRIAL MAGNETIC SEPARATOR.

Author(s) : YAN L. G.

Type of article: Article

Summary

BASED ON THE COMPARISON OF THE POSSIBLE DESIGN OPTIONS, THE HIGH CURRENT DENSITY DESIGN WITH VARNISH-COATED CONDUCTOR AND NARROW CHANNEL COOLING HAS BEEN SELECTED. SOME RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT WORK WITH SMALL SIZE SOLENOIDS TO PROVE THE DESIGN PRINCIPLE HAS BEEN PERFORMED. THE MAGNET HAS BEEN DESIGNED AND FABRICATED, PRELIMINARY MAGNET TEST HAS BEEN PERFORMED. THE PAPER SUMMARIZES THE RELATED DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT WORK.
