Summary

The guide, in four parts, presents a list of participants in a German working party on the implications of ammonia used in refrigeration plants. The conclusions drawn by this working party are to be used as guidelines for local authorities in meeting the requirements of the German 4. BImSchV regulations; these conclusions are based on the study of the breakdowns and accidents reported in 1993 and 1994 to the Ministry of the Environment.
