Summary
One of the most topical issues in the industry at the moment is the fire resistance properties of sandwich panels and the difficulties in obtaining insurance for buildings such as cold stores where these materials are commonly used. The "reaction to fire" requirements for wall and ceiling lining materials are currently the subject of proposed changes to the Building Code of Australia, as the author explains.
