Summary
To minimize losses during sea-borne liquid hydrogen transport, a mobile tank system should be chosen. The effect of the low density of liquid hydrogen on the ship design is demonstrated by comparing two liquid-hydrogen carrier concepts with conventional LNG and crude oil tankers.
