Summary
The paper considers the development of a compressor testing method based on a thermodynamic cycle taking place in the superheated region only. The cycle was modelled and simulated. Preliminary results allow verification of system behaviour according to changes in three control parameters: refrigerant system charge, expansion valve opening, and desuperheated water flow rate. Next steps in the research will consider experimental implementation of the testing method.
