Sensory air pollution caused by rotary heat exchangers.

Author(s) : PEJTERSEN J.

Summary

Describes a laboratory investigation of perceived air pollution caused by moisture-transferring and non-moisture transferring rotary heat exchangers. The study shows that rotary heat exchangers may constitute a severe pollution load in ventilation systems. Rotary heat exchangers may adsorb sensory air pollution from the exhaust air and emit it to the supply air. Finds the perceived pollution load was the same for both types of heat exchangers.
