Simulation results of triple-effect absorption cycles.

Summary
A simulation analysis was carried out for three kinds of triple-effect absorption cycles of parallel-flow, series-flow and reverse-flow using a newly developed simulation program. The cycles investigated in this paper are similar to the alternate double-condenser coupled cycles of Grossman. The COP, the maximum pressure and the maximum temperature of each cycle were calculated. The sensitivity analysis of UA of each component was also carried out. The results show that the parallel-flow cycle yields the highest COP among the cycles, while the maximum pressure and temperature in the reverse-flow are lower than those of other cycles.
