Summary

EDDY DIFFUSIVITY CORRELATIONS HAVE BEEN USED TO DESCRIBE THE TRANSPORT NEAR THE WALL AND THE INTERFACE AND IN THE BULK OF THE FILM. THE ENERGY AND DIFFUSION EQUATIONS ARE SOLVED SIMULTANEOUSLY TO GIVE THE TEMPERATURE AND CONCENTRATION VARIATIONS IN THE FILM. TWO CASESOF INTEREST ARE CONSIDERED: A CONSTANT-TEMPERATURE AND AN ADIABATIC WALL. THE NUSSELT AND SHERWOOD NUMBERS ARE EXPRESSED IN TERMS OF THE OPERATING PARAMETERS, FROM WHICH HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS ARE DETERMINED.
