Summary
Small capacity split systems are ideal solutions for single room air conditioning in residential apartments for many pratical reasons. This work deals with the various configurations of indoor units available as well as out-door condensing units, technology applied in the refrigeration sytems, air movement, sound control and electronics are described. A comparison of all types is included and chilled water versions and multi unit systems are also discussed. Trend and future development are presented as a conclusion.
