Summary

DRIVES FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM COMPRESSORS ARE OFTEN ASYNCHRONOUS MOTORS. IN COMPRESSOR TESTS THE SLIP MUST BE MEASURED FOR THESE DRIVES BY A SLIP COIL FASTENED TO THE COVER OF THE ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR. THE GALVANOMETER CONNECTED TO THE SLIP COIL IS UNABLE TO FOLLOW THE VARIATIONS OF THE INDUCED DISPERSED CURRENT OF THE MAINS FREQUENCY, BUT IT FOLLOWS THE VARIATION OF THE SLIP FREQUENCY. FOR A MAINS FREQUENCY OF F = 50 HZ, THE SLIP IS GIVEN BY ONE TENTH OF THE GALVANOMETER OSCILLATION FREQUENCY, WHICH IS RECORDED BY AN ELECTROMAGNETIC COUNTER FOR A TIME OF 20 SEC. THE SLIP VALUE WAS INTRODUCED BY MANUAL INPUTS INTO THE RECORDER OF A DIGITAL MEASURING UNIT.
