Smoke exhaust in high-rise residence.

Author(s) : XU W. H., TIAN S. S.

Summary

With the development of economy, many high-rise residences have been, are being and will be built in China. Thus arises the problem of how to exhaust the indoor smoke immediately and effectively. At present, there are two sources of smoke in residence: one is the smoke given out by the combustion of fuel (usually city gas or natural gas);the other is the oil-smoke produced by cooking. In order to improve the indoor air quality, protecting the outdoor environment in the residential districts and meeting the architectural artistic requirement, central smoke exhaust system should be adopted in high-rise residences. The subject of this paper is to discuss this problem and to present the situation of research and accomplishment in China.
