Summary
EDF is developing, in partnership with Irstea (formerly Cemagref), modelling software to calculate the energy saving and financial value of thermal storage systems. This tool completes demonstration projects and will make it possible to perform thermal and economic characteristics (duration of loading and unloading, and the impact on energy consumption and operating costs) of various storage solutions and to assist in teh decision-making process in order to select an optimal solution for a given refrigeration capacity requirement.
