Type of article: Article
Summary
The article describes different functional aspects of double-facades and discusses their interactions. On the basis of dynamic simulations the energy saving potential of an office room with single-skin-facade is compared to that of an office room with double-facade. The assessment takes criteria of comfort into account. In the conclusion the conditions under which a double-facade can be reasonable are pointed out.
