Summary

THE DENSITIES OF SOLID ETHYLENE AND PROPYLENE ARE DETERMINED AND THEIR COEFFICIENTS OF VOLUME EXPANSION ARE CALCULATED FOR THE TEMPERATURE RANGES 78-104 AND 78-87 K, RESPECTIVELY. THE PRESSURE, T-DEPENDENCE IN THE MELTING LINE FOR THESE SUBSTANCES IS MEASURED. THE DENSITY OF LIQUID PHASE AND THE COEFFICIENTS OF VOLUME EXPANSION NEAR THE TRIPLE POINT ARE CALCULATED. THE HEAT OF SOLID-LIQUID PHASE TRANSITION AT THE TRIPLE POINT IS ESTIMATED BY THE CLAPEYRON-CLAUSIUS EQUATION.
