Type of article: Article
Summary
THE STRUCTURE OF A VORTEX LINE NEAR THE LAMBDA POINT IN HELIUM II IS CONSIDERED ON THE BASIS OF THE THEORY OF SUPERFLUIDITY. BESIDES SUPERFLUID DENSITY DISTRIBUTION AS A FUNCTION OF THE DISTANCE TO THE VORTEX LINE AXIS AND OF THE THEORY PARAMETER, THE CHANGES OF THE ENTROPY, SPECIFIC HEAT, DENSITY AND THERMAL EXPANSION COEFFICIENT OF HELIUM RELATED TO THE EXISTENCE OF THE VORTEX LINE ARE ALSO CALCULATED. THE OPPORTUNITIES AND OBJECTIVES OF EXPERIMENTALLY MEASURING THE CORRESPONDING EFFECTS ARE DISCUSSED BRIEFLY.
