Sorption systems: characteristic equations.

Die charakteristische Gleichung von Sorptionskälteanlagen.

Summary

The authors demonstrate how the characteristics of energy-efficient sorption-heat-pump cycles can be modelled. This applies to the project phase of new installations for which the constraints, in terms of parameters, have already been defined, and also applies to the analysis of an existing system for which the overall operating features are known. In both cases, it is important to determine the characteristic temperature function which governs the heat load. The method described makes heat-pump models available in the form of linear equations making it possible to calculate the evolution of the annual load without requiring complex technical notions; satisfactory accuracy is achieved. The regulating technique can be improved, thus facilitating the development of new cycles.
