SOUND DATA CORRELATION AND ANALYSIS FOR A VAV TERMINAL DEVICE OVER A RANGE OF SIZES, FLOW RATES, AND PRESSURE DROPS.

Summary

THE PURPOSE OF THE PAPER IS TO DEVELOP A RELIABLE TECHNIQUE FOR PREDICTING BOX PERFORMANCE FOR INTERMEDIATE SIZES WHILE PERFORMING A MINIMUM OF TESTS TO OBTAIN DATA. IT WOULD BE EXPECTED THAT THE PREDICTION TECHNIQUE COULD BE USED ONLY FOR < GEOMETRICALLY SIMILAR > BOXES. TO DETERMINE IF THIS COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED, A SERIES OF TESTS WERE PERFORMED. SOUND DATA WERE TAKEN IN BANDS, WHICH RESULTED IN 288 SEPARATE TESTS WITH 1,728 SOUND DATA POINTS.
