THE AUTHORS DRAW ATTENTION TO THE OPERATING INSTABILITIES OF REFRIGERANT PUMPS. FROM TESTS THEY HAVE CONCLUDED THAT VARIATIONS IN MASS FLOW RATE AND PRESSURE CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE OPERATING FAILURES. PREVENTATIVE MEASURES ARE PROPOSED.
