Summary
Delivery of perishables through a city as well as through regions is still a serious problem when creating a continuous cold chain. The main transport means for such transportations are insulated panel trucks and refrigerated trucks. When transporting perishables their temperature changes permanently. Depending on the duration of transportation, shops number of unloading, environment temperature, the temperature of products, either increases (hot season) or decreases (cold season) occur. That's why the temperature regime indicated in as-built manufacturing documentation is not complied with. The quality of products becomes worse. The specialists at VNIKHI consider that the most perspective trend is creation of special types of package that permits to stack perishable products in refrigerated pots in site of production. Such types of pots are insulated containers, refrigerated containers and heated containers. Today, insulated, refrigerated and heated containers with capacities of 5-7 kg to 3 tons have been created and are undergoing tests. The smallest insulated container is intended for hot meal delivery. The initial temperature of meals is 93-87°C. After two hours transportation, the temperature of meals is 78-76°C at an ambient temperature of -20°C. The paper cites different brands of containers and their performances.
