Summary

Specific heats of polyvinylformal, which is an insulant for superconducting wires, and carbon for thermometers were measured at 14-248 K for the former, and at 14-201, and 243-274 K for the latter, using an adiabatic calorimeter. Specific heats of polyvinylformal above 20 K, and of carbon for thermometers above 50 K, are precise enough for numerical analysis of the thermal stability on a superconducting coil.
