Specifying water treatment.
Author(s) : WESLEY S. H.
Type of article: Article
Summary
A national technical specification for building services has been introduced recently to the HVAC industry in Australia. A section is available covering water treatment. Each section is in the form of a guide specification addressed to the contractor and can be adapted to suit individual requirements by using a worksheet available for that purpose. Each section covers requirements as indicated by relevant standards and the worksheets act as checklists or reminders to the specification writer as to the alternative materials or methods available. It does not remove the need for good design or selection. The standard specification is available on computer disc. D.W.H.
