Author(s) : SAMES R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper covers the legislation at present in place in Australia concerning the discharge of waste water from dehumidifiers and cooling towers. For the latter, this includes both constant bleed water and intermittent drainage for cleaning purposes. In general terms, water polluted with chemicals, as is most cooling tower water, may be discharged only to sewer systems and must always be subject to agreement with and license by the regulating authority.
