Summary

COLD END RECOVERY CURRENTS AND QUENCH CURRENTS OF NIOBIUM-TIN MULTIFILAMENTARY WIRES WITH DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF STABILIZING COPPER HAVE BEEN MEASURED IN MAGNETIC FIELDS BETWEEN 8 AND 11.5 T. THE EFFECTIVE HEAT FLUX AT THE RECOVERY CURRENT WAS HIGHER THAN 0.58 W/CM2 AT 10 T. ALSO, THE HEAT FLUX SHOWED A CLEAR DEPENDENCE ON THE AMOUNT OF STABILIZING COPPER IN THE WIRE AND ON THE MAGNETIC FIELD STRENGTH.
